YOGA WITH SHUBHA: To build a calm mind and a strong body.
Yoga improves the mind, body and spirit.
My yoga journey started early on during my childhood when my grandfather introduced me to the nuances of yoga and meditation. I have since practiced yoga over the years in India as well as in the United States in various yoga studios. This in turn, has helped me develop my unique teaching style based on a fusion between yoga's classical roots and my own contemporary insights. I believe that yoga is a spiritual practice, as much as it is a physical one. Therefore, I incorporate an intention or theme to every class of mine based on challenges that we can relate to in our personal as well as professional lives. || By combining breath with movement, I guide my students to maximize the benefits from their practice. || I am a RYT 200 Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
I have been practicing yoga with Shubha for almost a year. Under her excellent instruction, I have been able to expand my practice and have found that my balance, flexibility and strength have improved. Most importantly, I sleep better, I’m more relaxed, and deal with stress better. I have been able to take what I learn in her class and use it on my own since she encourages us to practice and persevere.

Being a busy corporate executive, life can get stressful, and your mind and body can get out of shape if you’re not careful. This happened to me. Then, I started taking yoga classes with Shubha and it literally changed my life. Not only have I noticed my ability to focus increase, but my golf swing has improved as well. Who doesn’t like a two for one! One of the many things I like about Shubha’s training style is that she mixes in new things, it’s never boring. Also, she pushes me a bit too, further than I would go on my own. This leads to growth and increased confidence. She also weaves in thoughtful messages in her classes and has great music. I can honestly say that Shubha’s classes have made me a better person both physically and mentally.”
I have thoroughly enjoyed Shubha’s Vinyasa Yoga classes. Her dedication and skill make her class a good way to improve my yoga practice while enjoying a good work out and a mental challenge as well. Shubha engages her students and encourages them to respect their capabilities and use their yoga practice to improve focus, balance and breathing. I always enjoy Shubha’s classes and plan to continue improving my yoga skills and fitness by participating in her classes.

Shubha is a very compassionate yoga teacher. She’s very good at gently pushing students towards growth and a great workout. She is caring and kind to the participants in her classes and tries to learn and address all 30 of her drop-in students by name. You’ll be glad you attended her class and your practice will improve.

Shubha is a great yoga teacher. She guides you through a terrific Vinyasa style class, that has a great flow. The music is good and fits in well with the poses. She has a calming voice, and often adds an inspiring quote, which conveys a wonderful idea. I always have a nice experience taking her class, and feel great afterwards!

Sure, going to bar, drinking margaritas and dancing all night long is fun. It can be a lot of fun. But not everyone wants to do that.
